The engine to start the Green Energy Revolution in Virginia is tax incentives, both for individuals and for start-up companies to bring about the development of strong economic progress and to make our environment a more sustainable one.
- I will encourage the State Legislature to pass legislation to match the federal tax incentive for Virginians to install solar paneling and other green technologies. Virginians using Virginia-based businesses will be entitled to a fifty percent state tax incentive on top of the Federal tax incentive for renewable energy.
- By the end of my term as Governor I plan to have solar paneling installed at the Governor's Mansion, and to have every state office in the Commonwealth using renewable sources of energy.
- Companies will be given tax incentives to develop innovations to help Virginia become energy independent in the future.
